VAP for Electronics & Mobile Retailers

Electronics retail software that tracks every serial number

Serials, warranties and margins that move weekly.

Every device you sell is a serial number with a warranty attached and a price that changed last week. VAP receives, stocks and sells each unit by serial, so a warranty claim or a return resolves in one lookup, and distributor price lists keep landed cost honest on products that reprice constantly.

What gets in the way

Where electronics & mobile retailers lose money

Warranty claims become archaeology

A customer walks in with a handset and no bill. Without serial-level records, proving when and where it was sold means digging through months of invoices.

Landed cost drifts

Distributor prices move weekly and schemes change monthly. If cost is not captured at receipt, margin is a guess by the time you review it.

The last unit sells twice

Marketplace listings and the counter keep separate stock, so the final piece of a hot model gets sold on both — and one order gets cancelled.

What you get

Set up for electronics & mobile retailers

Every business on VAP gets the features that trade actually needs — nothing you have to configure around. Here is what a electronics & mobile setup includes.

Serial-number inventory

Each device is received, stocked, transferred and sold by serial, so warranty lookups and returns resolve instantly.

Cost per unit

Cost is tracked per quant, so scheme pricing and weekly rate changes do not blur your real margin.

Distributor price lists

Supplier-specific item codes and price lists keep reordering a lookup rather than a phone call.

Counter billing

Barcode POS with every tender type, plus invoices, payments and credit notes with a full lifecycle.

Accessories & variants

Storage, colour and bundle options are variant options, each with its own SKU, stock and price.

Fail-closed GST

An item without a resolvable tax class will not silently sell at zero tax. GST reports come from the same records.

Multi-outlet stock

Stock, prices and permissions resolve per store, and transfers between them are recorded movements.

Online + counter

Your storefront and marketplace listings draw from the same stock, so nothing oversells.

In practice

What that looks like on a normal day

01

A warranty claim at the counter

Scan or type the serial. You get the invoice it went out on, the date, the branch and the customer — without opening a file.

02

A price drop from the distributor

Update the price list, and new receipts land at the new cost while existing stock keeps the cost it was received at. Margin stays honest.

03

Selling online without overselling

Your storefront lists live availability from the same stock the counter sells from, so a hot model cannot sell twice.

Selling online

Your website, on the same stock

Vritti builds the storefront and deploys it on Vritti Cloud, on your own domain. Connecting it to VAP is optional — but when it is connected, there is one catalogue and one inventory instead of two.

A storefront on live stock

Vritti builds and deploys your online store on Next.js and Payload CMS, reading catalogue, price and availability from VAP.

One customer record

The shopper online is the same party your staff see at the counter, so history and warranty sit together.

FAQ

Electronics & Mobile software — common questions

Can it track mobile phones by IMEI or serial number?

Yes. Serial-number tracking is built into the inventory model. Each device is received, held, transferred and sold against its own serial, so you can trace any individual unit from goods receipt to the invoice it left on.

How does it handle warranty claims?

Because every unit is sold against its serial, looking up a serial returns the invoice, date, branch and customer. There is no separate warranty register to keep in sync.

Does it keep distributor price lists?

Yes. Suppliers have their own item codes and price lists, so reordering matches the distributor’s catalogue and landed cost is captured at goods receipt rather than estimated later.

Will it stop items selling at zero GST by mistake?

Yes. Tax resolution is fail-closed — an item without a resolvable tax class will not sell at zero tax silently. This matters on thin-margin electronics where a tax error erases the margin entirely.

Can I sell the same stock online and in the shop?

Yes. Your storefront reads the same per-site stock as the counter, so the last unit of a model cannot be sold through two channels at once.
